A bit about me
Hi, my name is Vicky Stone and I’m a British School of Yoga accredited teacher.
I first fell in love with yoga back in 2002 when I participated in my first class while backpacking. The following year, I joined a Hatha Yoga class in my home town of Rayleigh – and ten years later, in 2013, I qualified as a teacher myself.
My classes are relaxed and welcoming and consist mainly of Hatha Yoga but have elements of Dynamic Vinyasa Flow, Viniyoga and Iyengar thrown in.
Everyone is welcome to learn at their own pace and challenge themselves to improve their strength, stamina, balance and flexibility.
A typical session will include a balanced range of classical yoga postures, lots of stretches and handy breathing techniques.
I also offer a relaxing meditative session at the end of each class, which is completely optional.
Sessions are traditionally 90 minutes long, but I also offer 75-minute classes online classes and quick 30-minute top-ups, for anyone short on time.
I am pre and post-natal trained, offer family yoga sessions and regularly work with charities to bring this amazing form of exercise to disadvantaged groups.
I want to encourage learners to use yoga in their everyday life and be aware of their breathing, posture and state of mind.
After all, yoga is for life – not just Monday morning classes!
I am inspired by Becky Crepsley-Fox, J Brown, Lucas Rockwood and Camila Rodriguez and have spent time studying yoga anatomy and Buddhist mindfulness.
Although I am a teacher of yoga, I join in with as many local classes and workshops as I can because it leaves me feeling fantastic and inspires me to be the best person I can possibly me.
Ultimately, my aim is for everyone to love yoga as much as I do.
